We give you a great head start on the creative process.

Our job starts long before the film is shot, in some cases we start a dialogue and an exchange of ideas with the director long before pre-production. Geo Höhn leads a team of relating and networked composers to ensure the crafting of the perfect musical tone and genre for your feature.

We include discussions on sound design as well as either working with existing professionals and companies, or in-house sound contractors of Insomnia Studios.

SUITE OF THEMES IN PRE-PRODUCTION

We work closely with the director, often already in the final draft stages of the script, to develop thematic material for the film.

THEMATIC MATERIAL AVAILABLE AT TIME OF THE EDIT

At the time of the edit we can supply editors with existing compositions or mockups in order to avoid the over use of reference music. This greatly enhances the uniqueness of the musical landscape.

FRAME ACCURATE SCORING ON LOCKED PICTURE

We make sure that the score complements the pace and rhythm of the edit enhancing it in a seamless manner.

FINAL MIX

Depending on the genré and complexity of your feature our sound team can range from very small to enormous. We make sure that you have a sonic masterpiece. We create test DCP’s to reference your MIX in multiple theatre environments.
